Joel K. Toelke, 44 of Lake Summerset passed away Sunday November 2, 2008 at
Monroe Clinic Hospital in Monroe. Born July 13, 1964 he was the son of Keith F. and Marlene M. (Stuckey) Toelke. Joel was a graduate of Dakota High School
Class of 1982. He and Kim Borgmann were married March 28, 1987. He worked as a
machinist for Larry Judd for 23 yrs. He was the offensive coordinator for the
Dakota High School Varsity Football team for 17yrs. His biggest coaching highlights were the 2005 and 2007 State Championships and several conference championships. He was an avid sports fan of all sports and especially loved to play golf. He was a member of the Dakota Athletic Boosters. Joels favorite vacation spot was Las Vegas. The light of Joel's life, at age 38, was the birth of their daughter, Tabytha.
Surviving are his wife Kim of Lake Summerset; one daughter Tabytha of Lake
Summerset; mother Marlene Toelke of Rock City; gradmother Bernice Stuckey of
Davis; 2 sisters Julie (Larry) Chapman of Freeport, Jill (Sheldon) DeVries of
Orangeville; one brother Kirk (Laura) Toelke of Red Oak, N.C.; 5
brothers-in-laws Brian (Kath) Borgmann of Ridott, Dave (Mindy) Borgmann of
Dakota, Kenny (Michelle) Borgmann of Dakota, Joel (Jackie) Borgmann of
Orangeville, Daniel Borgmann of Rock City; sister-in-law Sheila Dornink of
Dakota, mother-in-law Mary Borgmann of Rock City; Nieces Sam and Nicole DeVries, Paige Toelke, Renee, Robyn, Taylor, Jordyn, Jackqui, Melinda Borgmann, Kendra Dornink; nephews Kolt Toelke, Rian, Holden, Logan Borgmann, Kyle Dornink; uncles Larry (Karla) Toelke of Dakota, Wayne (Marilyn) Toelke of Ridott, Merle (Bonnie)Stuckey of Davis, Bill (Marilyn) Stuckey of Milwaukee; aunt Shirley (Merle)Goeke of Rock City.
He was preceded in death by his father Keith, Paternal grandparents Vernon and Ila Toelke, maternal grandfather Robert Stuckey and father-in-law Virgil Borgmann.
Visitation will Friday 5-8pm at the Dakota High School. Funeral service will be Saturday 11:00 am at the Dakota High School with Deacon Dick Mulcahy
officiating. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established in his name. Burial will be in the Irish Grove Church Cemetery. Funeral arrangements were completed by Daughenbaugh Funeral Home.
