Freeport – Johanna M. Finley, 100 formerly of Clinton, Iowa peacefully passed away at Ascension St. Joseph's Village in Freeport, Illinois on Monday, October 30, 2023.  She was born on April 4, 1923 in Ladd, Illinois to the late Frank and Laura (Nanni) Rolando.  After graduating high school, she married James t. Finley on September 26, 1953 in Rockford, Illinois.  He died in 1986.

She was a photographer and was the owner/operator of Finley Studio in Clinton, Iowa until she retired.  She is survived by her Nephew, Alex Rolando of Hennepin, Illinois; Nieces, Paula (Gene) Seibert of Hennepin, Illinois; Rosemary Crichton of Shannon; Laura (Alec) Ruble of Freeport and Joan (Dean) Welt of Freeport as well as many great and great great nieces and nephews.  Preceding her in death are her parents, her husband, 3 brothers and 3 sister-in-laws.

There will be a visitation beginning at 10am, a rosary service at 10:30am and a service at 11am all at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Freeport on Monday, November 6, 2023. Her final resting place will be Calvary Catholic Cemetery in Winnebago, Illinois where she will be laid to rest next to her husband, James.
