Freeport-John G. Jones, 55, of Freeport, died Friday, September 1, 2006 at FHN Memorial Hospital.
Born December 17, 1950 in Freeport he was the son of John L. and Teresa (Garland) Jones. He married Linda Thorn June 27, 1970 in Rock Grove.
He worked at Micro Switch for 33 years.
An outdoorsman he enjoyed fishing and camping.
He was a loving husband, son, father, and brother.
Surviving is his wife, Linda of Freeport; his mother, Teresa Jones of Freeport; 3 daughters, Renee' (Ed) Salazar and Stephanie Jones both of Freeport, and Lori (Nicholas) Jung of North Las Vegas, Nevada; 3 grandchildren, Coty and Dalton Salazar and Christian Jung; 1 sister, Christine Lien of Freeport; 3 brothers, Mark Jones of Freeport, James (Jolene) Jones and Brett (Bonnie) Jones both of Stockton; and his dog, Cheyenne.
He was preceded in death by his Grandparents and father.
Cremation rites have been accorded.
There will be no funeral service.
A memorial has been established in his name.
