Obituary
John R. Landreth, 63, of Freeport died Monday, December 2, 2013 at FHN Memorial Hospital Freeport.
Born October 22, 1950 in Joliet, he was the son of Benjamin and Alice (Scholtz) Landreth.
John was a veteran of the United States Army serving in Vietnam.
He worked for Dura Manufacturing in Stockton.
John enjoyed hunting, fishing and working on cars.
He is survived by his daughter Andrea (Chris) Channer of Waltham, MA; two grandchildren Shaun and Chris Channer; three sisters Audrey Niesman of Freeport, Alice Blaser of New Auburn, WI and Linda Phinney of Grove, OK; many nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death are his parents and two brothers, David and Richard.
A celebration of John's life will be Saturday, December 7, 2013 from 2-4 p.m. at Walker Mortuary.
Cremation rites will be accorded.
