Davis – John H, Lund, 81 of Davis passed away at Monroe Clinic Hospital on January 15, 2022 after a brief illness.  He was born on December 19, 1940 in Chicago to the late Henry and Mildred (Horman) Lund.  He graduated High School and served in the Army.  He and Nancy Marks were married on May 1, 1965 in Chicago.  She passed away in 2019.

John loved to garden, camp, tinker with all kinds of mechanical projects and spend time with his grandchildren.  He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Durand and was an active volunteer until recently, he was also active at Lake Summerset serving on volunteering and participating in committees and clubs.

He is survived by his sons, Tim (Patricia) Lund of Des Moines, IA; Mark (Estela) Lund of Davis and Eric (Kami) Lund of Rockford.  He is also survived by his brothers, Dr. Robert (Joan) Lund of Belvidere; Jospeh (Fran) Lund of Des Plaines, IL and Br. Ken Lund of California.  His legacy also includes 8 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife and his brothers, Dave, Jim and Fr. Don Lund.

Cremation rites have been accorded and his services tentatively will be 10:30 am on Saturday January 22, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Durand.  Condolences can be left for the family at www.walkermortuary.com.
