Obituary
John A. Slaght, 63, of Freeport, died Friday, March 29, 2013, at his home.
Born January 15, 1950 in Freeport he was the son of Richard and Rachel (Hull) Slaght. He married Kathryn Holland July 22, 1990.
John worked at Kelly Springfield Tire Company becoming Titan Tire for 35 years.
He was a U.S. Army veteran serving in the Vietnam War.
Surviving is his wife, Kathryn of Freeport; three daughters, Monica (Darren) Aurand of Lena, Bridget (Andy) Krause of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and Amber (Dennis) Griepentrog of Monroe, Wisconsin; and eight grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, David and Larry Slaght.
Cremation rites have been accorded.
Per John' s request there will be no funeral service.
