Joseph Randall Lauzon, age 14 of Freeport, IL, passed away on Saturday, December 4, 2021 at FHN Memorial Hospital in Freeport. He was born August 11, 2007 in Wichita, KS, to Scott and Christine (Saar) Lauzon.

He attended Freeport High School where he loved playing the tuba in the marching band and at school sporting events. The Boy Scouts were an important part of his life. He was a Boy Scout 1 ^st Class on his way to Eagle Scout. In his free time Joey loved collecting Pokemon cards and playing Pokemon Go with his family. He also loved his dogs and swimming. Joey spent weeks of his summers riding along with his dad on his truck routes traveling across the country.  He was a giving, helpful, empathetic young man who had a huge heart. He cared for others more than himself and would be the first in line to help anyone.

He is survived by his father, Scott Lauzon of Franklin Grove, IL; mother, Christine Lauzon of Freeport, IL; Grandparents, Lawrence & Barb Saar of Davis, IL; grandmother, Susan McCoy of Dixon, IL; great grandmother, Ida Saar Hutchison of Freeport; sister, Katrina Lauzon and twin sister, Kassandra Lauzon both of Freeport; other sisters, Sara, Brittany, and Rebecca; God Mother, Sharon Van Hal of Crystal Lake, IL; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his grandfather, Ronald Lauzon; paternal great grandparents; and great grandfather, George Saar.

A visitation will be held on Friday, December 10 ^th from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at St. John United Church of Christ in Freeport. The funeral service will be Saturday, December 11 ^th at 11:00 a.m. also at the church. Interment will take place at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Freeport.
