Obituary
Freeport-Josephine C. Belk, 82, of Freeport, died Thursday, September 2, 2004, at the Lena Nursing Center in Lena.
Born September 15, 1921 in Jo Daviess County she was the daughter of Amos and Cleo (Blair) Thomasson. She married Bert F. Belk December 2, 1939 and he preceded her in death May 25, 1970.
She worked at Atwood in Stockton for 33 years.
Surviving are 4 daughters, Patsy Dyson, Gloria Belk, and Carol (Frank) Doyle all of Freeport, Dixie (Wayne) Sigafus of Warren; 3 sisters, Coretta Endress of Lena, Mary Hayes of Stockton, and Pauline Veach of Freeport; 2 brothers, Leslie Thomasson and Eric (Vera) Thomasson both of Freeport; 8 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; 2 sisters; and 1 granddaughter.
Funeral service will be 3 p.m. Saturday at Walker Mortuary with Reverend Diane Jochum of FHN Hospice officiating. Burial will be in the Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
Friends may call Saturday 2 p.m. until time of service at Walker Mortuary.
