E. Joy Mosher, 72, of Freeport, died May 5, 2015 at her home.
Born October 18, 1942 in Springfield, Oregon she was the daughter of Valdie and Lorraine Sutten.
She was a sales representative and operator for Pacific Bell for over 30 years.
She was a member of the First United Methodist Church and the Ladies Auxiliary of the Eagles in Freeport.
Joy was a very loving, caring Mother, grandmother, and friend. She had a personality that was larger than life. Her name definitely described who she was.
She lived life to the fullest. Joy loved the outdoors including boating, hunting, fishing, and camping.
Her two favorite travel destinations were Northern Ontario for a week of fishing and Las Vegas or Reno, Nevada anytime!
She was known for her bright smile and for her infectious laugh.
Her family and friends have been left with a great void in their lives with her passing, but are forever fortunate to have been touched by her love and laughter.
Surviving are her sons, Steve Hilsendager of Gresham, OR and John Hilsendager of Lorane, OR; her daughter, Debie (Kurt) Cook of Sandy, OR; her step-children, Lynn (Dave) Aurand of Davis, Illinois, Pam (Doug) Matheson of Byron, Illinois, and Rick Mosher of Bonita Springs, Florida; her brother Jim (Sherri) Sutten of Elmira, OR; 10 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; her special friend, Dick Mosher; and her beloved kitty, Max.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Cremation rites have been accorded.
A celebration of life will be held for relatives and close friends.
