Freeport: Joyce L. Lehman, 77 of Freeport died Monday July 3, 2006 at her home.
Born January 24, 1929 in Freeport she was the daughter of Edward and Anna (Propp) Albrecht. On November 2, 1947 she married Mike Lehman in Freeport. Joyce was a graduate of Freeport Senior High School and was a member of St John United Church of Christ. She worked at W.T. Rawleigh's, and then at J.C. Penney's. Surviving is her son, Gerald Lehman of Bloomington, IL, daughter, Julie (Anthony) Brennan of Reno, NV, 8 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren, two sisters, Carol (Wayne) Nesemeyer and Marilyn (Richard) Peterson both of Freeport. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband. A Funeral service will be held Saturday 11:00 A.M. at Walker Mortuary with the Reverend Dr. Donnley Dutcher of St. John United Church of Christ officiating. Burial will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Friday from 4-7 p.m. at Walker Mortuary. A memorial has been established in her name for St. John United Church of Christ.
