Freeport: Juanita M. Curboy, 72 of Freeport died Saturday April 14, 2007 at FHN Memorial Hospital, Freeport. Born February 23, 1935 in Los Nation, Iowa she was the daughter of Henry and Bessie (Kramer) Orth. She married Lyle Schriner and he preceded her in death in 1963. She then married Owen Curboy and he died in 1998. Juanita was a loyal caregiver to many people in the area up until the time of her death.
Surviving are two daughters, Teri Hopper of Freeport, Melinda (Richard) Smith of Forney, TX. Two sons, Steven Schriner of Pearl City and David (Tammy) Schriner of Freeport, Two brothers, Lewis (Twila) Orth of Kent and Richard (Rebecca) Orth of Flower Mound, TX. Three sisters, Beverly (Jim) Barker of Pecatonica, Mary (Jerry) Feltmeyer of Stockton and Phyllis (Lenny) McNeil of Bloomington; one sister-in-law, Dorothy Orth of Sciotto Mills; eight grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, both husbands, and one brother, Donald Orth. Graveside services and burial will be held 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Oak Hill Cemetery in Mount Carroll with the Reverend Katie Mapes officiating. A memorial has been established in her name.
