Freeport – Judith A. Schubert, 85 of rural Freeport passed away at FHN Memorial Hospital on January 28, 2023 after a short illness.  She was born on August 21, 1937 in Oneco, IL to the late Wesley and Hazel (Spaide) Hull.  She graduated from Orangeville High School in 1955.  She married David Schubert on September 18, 1959 and together they built a life in farming.

She enjoyed cooking, baking, gardening, sewing, attending Cedarville Emmanuel church and participating in many activities there.  She loved being with her family and playing games with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband, David of Freeport. Sons, Daniel (Jean) Schubert of Freeport; Kenneth (Stephanie) Schubert of Dakota; Edward (Valerie) Schubert of Honduras and daughter, Diane (Jeffrey) Cummins of Freeport.

Her legacy includes nine grandchildren; Jeremy (Heather) Cummins of Waukesha, WI; Michael Schubert of Waukesha, WI; Jennifer (Jonathan) Mirenda of Monument, CO; Jenna (Cale) Connour of East Troy, WI; Natalie (Robert) Melville of Winnebago, IL; Kyle (Lia) Schubert of Streamwood, IL; Wesley Schubert of Freeport; Adam Schubert of Freeport and Cheynece Schubert of Honduras and she leaves behind 7 great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents and one son, John Schubert.

There will be a visitation on Tuesday, February 7 ^th from 3-6pm at Cedarville Emmanuel Church.  Services will be on Wednesday, February 8 at 11am also at Cedarville Emmanuel Church with Pastor Craig Conner officiating.  Her final resting place will be at Grandview Cemetery.  A memorial has been established for Cedarville Emmanuel Church.
