Judith C. Wilkens , age 74 of Freeport, IL, passed away at home on Thursday, May 3, 2018. She was born September 16, 1943; the daughter of the late Urshel and M. Aileen (Smith) King. Judy married Eugene Wilkens on August 7, 1966 in Dixon, IL; he passed on September 23, 2017.

Through the years she farmed, milked cows and raised her family. She had also worked for FHN Memorial Hospital in Freeport for 10 years. She was a member of the Cedarville Baptist Church. Judy loved singing and sang in the church choir and had a passion for karaoke. In her younger years, she enjoyed roller-skating, which is how Judy and Gene met. Together they loved dancing and traveling, especially to Florida. Most of all, Judy loved her family and spending time with her grandkids and great grandkids.

She is survived by her children, Kimberly Wilkens of Freeport, Kenneth (Jackie) Wilkens of Monroe, WI, Keith (Deanna) Wilkens of Phoenix, AZ, Kevin (Tina) Wilkens of Shannon, Eugene "Geno" (Marj) Wilkens Jr. of Freeport, Steven (Becky) Wilkens of Ceresco, MI, and Curtis Wilkens of Freeport; 19 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; adoptive son, Randy Baker of Freeport; sister, Beverly King; several nieces & nephews; her dog, Jake; and cat, Tipper. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Gene; step-daughter, JoAnne Benge; brothers, Gale and Charles; and sister, Betty Mixen.
