Freeport: Judith "Judy" Kay Siegmeier, 55, of Freeport lost her battle with rheumatoid arthritis Friday September 3, 2004 at the Monroe Clinic Hospital in Monroe. Born September 19, 1948 in Freeport she was the daughter of Leland and Ethel (Powers) Steffens. On December 15, 1967 she married Jon Siegmeier in Freeport. Judy worked for Micro Switch for 30 years and was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, and the Prairie Land Doll Club. She was an avid doll collector and specialized in antique dolls.
Surviving is her husband Jon, one son Eric (Fiance, Kim Lindstrom) and her Mother, Ethel Steffens, two grandchildren, Devon and Raven Siegmeier all of Freeport. She was preceded in death by her Father. Graveside service will be held 10:30 am Wednesday at The Chapel of Peace in Oakland Cemetery and Mausoleum, Freeport, with the Reverend Justin Mapes of Trinity United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery and Mausoleum. Visitation will be Tuesday from 4-6 pm at Walker Mortuary. A memorial has been established in her name.
