Freeport: June E. Boeke, 80, of Freeport died Tuesday April 5, 2005 at her home.
Born June 27, 1924 in Freeport she was the daughter of Harry and Agnes Schreiner. On May 16, 1944 she married Robert A. Boeke in Freeport. He preceded her in death on March 30, 2000. June and her husband owned and operated the Parkview Inn Tavern on East Stephenson Street for many years. She attended area grade schools and was a graduate of Freeport High School. She was a lady that was always doing for others and her family, always putting them first. Surviving are three sons, Robert E. "Butch" Boeke (Mari Lynn White), Charles "Chuck" (Cindy) Boeke, and Thomas J. Boeke all of Freeport, two grandchildren and three great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and one sister-in-law. Cremation rites have been accorded. A Memorial Service for June's family members and close friends will be held 2:00 p.m. Sunday April 17, 2005 at Walker Mortuary. There will be no visitation.
