June B. Cashman, age 87 of Freeport, IL, passed away Tuesday, May 2, 2017 at Presence St. Joseph in Freeport. She was born June 2, 1929; the daughter of the late Otto and Beryl (Booker) Boeke. She was a 1948 graduate of Freeport High School. June married Robert Cashman on February 26, 1950; he passed in November of 1992.
She had worked at Micro Switch for 17 years. She was a former member of the Ridott Community Church. June loved sewing and made many of her own clothes.
She is survived by her son, Gary (Rose Marie) Cashman of Glendale, AZ; daughter, Laurie Cashman of Freeport; and three grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert; son, Ronald; 5 brothers; and 2 sisters.
The funeral service will be held Saturday, May 6th at 11:30 am at the Chapel of Peace at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Freeport with visitation beginning at 10:30 am. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established for FHN Hospice.
