Karen S. Beckmeier , age 71 of Davis, IL, passed away on Friday, July 3, 2020 at St. Mary's Hospital in Madison, WI. She was born October 11, 1948 in Freeport, IL; the daughter of the late Floyd and Grace (Viel) Nyman. She was a 1966 graduate of Dakota High School. Karen married Wayne Beckmeier on June 25, 1966.

She farmed alongside her husband and was a loving homemaker. She also worked at Medina Nursing Home in Durand until she retired. Karen enjoyed gardening, bird watching, raising quail and pheasants. She also loved taking care of her grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband, Wayne Beckmeier of Davis; daughter, Ingrid (Mike) Noone of Midwest City, OK; sons, Eric (Karlene) Beckmeier of Rock City, IL, Marcus (Karla) Beckmeier of Freeport, IL, and Aaron (Heather) Beckmeier of German Valley, IL; grandchildren, Chevin Noone, Kendra (Jake) Anderson, Kyle (Laura) Bolen, Noel Beckmeier, Jackie Reuber, Daniel Reuber, Mercedes Reuber, Brayden Beckmeier, and Kaylee Beckmeier; great grandchildren, Colin Anderson, Lillie Reuber, and Case Sullivan; brother, Doug Nyman of Davis; sisters, Marcia Lentz of Davis and Shirley (Scott) Rogers of Eau Clair, WI; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; mother and father-in-law, Norma and Bill Beckmeier; brother, Jeff Nyman; brother-in-law, Keith Lentz; and sister-in-laws, Carolyn Groshans and Marlene Beckmeier.

A private service will be held at the Daughenbaugh Funeral Home in Dakota. Interment will take place at the Davis Cemetery. A memorial fund has been established in her name. Condolences may be shared at www.walkermortuary.com.
