Ridott
Karl A. Lentz, 64, of Ridott, died Thursday, June 4, 2009, at his home, with his family, after a long illness.
Born March 22, 1945 in Rockford he was the son of Myron and Marcella (Heitkam) Lentz. He married Sandra K. Ceroni November 21, 1964 in Rock City.
He was a 1963 graduate of Dakota High School.
He owned and operated AASK Garage Doors for almost 30 years.
He was a former member of Rock City Fire Department and the Stephenson County Arson Task Force Unit.
Karl loved his grandchildren and enjoyed gardening and fellowship with his friends.
Surviving are his wife, Sandra of Ridott; 3 sons, Mike Lentz of Ridott, Dan (Joleen) Lentz of Oregon, Wisconsin, and Terry (Karena) Lentz of Freeport; 4 grandchildren, Tyler, Rumen, Mercedes, and Nolan Lentz; 1 brother, Kenny (Penny) Lentz of McConnell; 1 sister-in-law, Marcia Lentz of Davis; nieces and nephews; and his mother in-law, Emma Ceroni of Ridott.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Keith; sister, Kristina Cook; and Father In-law, John Ceroni Jr.; 2 sister in-laws, Linda Ceroni and Pat Stearns.
Funeral service will be Monday 1 p.m. at Daughenbaugh Funeral Home in Dakota. Burial will be in the Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Daughenbaugh Funeral Home.
A memorial has been established in his name.
