Kathryn A. Boeke , age 73 of Freeport, IL, passed away at home on Wednesday, February 16, 2022. She was born December 5, 1948 in Freeport; the daughter of the late Earl and Velma (Whetstone) Sincox. She grew up in Apple River, IL and was a graduate of Warren High School in Warren, IL. Kathryn Married David Boeke on October 24, 1981.

She was a personal banker for US Bank of Freeport for 35 years where she made many friends over the years. She enjoyed crocheting and had a great love for all animals, especially her beloved dogs. Family was everything to her. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. Kathryn was a kind, sweet, and loving person who would do anything for anyone.

She is survived by her husband, David Boeke of Freeport; their children, Tim (Sherri Schulz) Thyberg of Roscoe, IL, Troy Boeke of Shannon, IL, and Amy (Scott) Schoonhoven of German Valley, IL; grandchildren, Hunter, Ryan, Wyett, Madyson, and Alec; and niece, Debra Martin of Freeport. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Sandy McCarthy.

The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, February 22, 2022 at 12:00 p.m. at Walker Mortuary in Freeport; Pastor Jim Brown officiating. There will be a visitation before the service beginning at 10:00 a.m. Interment will take place at Oakland Cemetery & Mausoleum in Freeport following the service.
