Kathy A. Manning, 51, of Roscoe formerly of Freeport passed away Monday, August 12, 2013 at OSF St. Anthony Medical Center in Rockford after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born April 16, 1962 in Freeport she was the daughter of John and Nancy Sturtevant.
Kathy worked in management at K-Mart in Freeport for many years, and most recently was office manager of Menards in Rockford until May 2013 when she was no longer able to work.
Kathy is survived by the love of her life, David Schrader of Roscoe; son Jason (Alma) Manning of Park City; daughter Tabatha Manning of Omaha, NE; six grandchildren Isayah, LaTrelle, Payton, Xavier, Michael and one due in September; her mother and stepfather Nancy and Johnnie Kamm of Apple Canyon Lake; brother Chuck Sturtevant of Freeport; grandmother Coralyn Fransen of Freeport.
She was preceded in death by her father John Sturtevant in 1993.
Cremation rites will be accorded and per Kathy's wish a private family celebration of life will be held.
