Freeport – Keith E. Wise, 85 of Freeport passed away at Ascension Living St. Joseph Village on Friday, August 26th, 2022.  He was born January 12, 1937 in Des Moines, Iowa to the late Charles and Flossie (Hoefle) Wise.  Keith graduated from Grand Junction High School in 1955.  He married Judith L. Martin on October 8, 1960 in Freeport.  She died October 29, 1995.  He married Sarajane (Cavanagh) on May 21, 1999 and together they built a life of love and companionship.

Keith served in the US Air Force from 1955 to 1958. He worked at Kelly Springfield/ Titan Tire for over 26 years in the control lab.  He was a member of Faith United Methodist Church of which he was a 50+ year member, the Freeport Moose club, and the former Freeport Germania Club.  Keith loved to watch the Chicago Cubs, the Green Bay Packers and the Iowa Hawkeyes play.

He is survived by his wife, Sarajane and his daughters Susan L. Wise of El Paso, TX and Peggy A. (Jack) Brunner of Knoxville, TN.  His step-children, Christine Marie (Michael) Torres of Carol Stream, IL; Sarah Elizabeth (Adem) Alag of Naperville, IL and Donald E. (Stacey) Goers of Manasses, VA.  His legacy also includes 4 grandchildren, Belle and Ellie Torres, Xander Alag and Branton Brunner.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his first wife and several siblings.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, September 2nd with a visitation beginning at 10am and a service to immediately follow at 11am all at the Chapel Hill of Peace at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Freeport.
