Kenneth D. Buss, 85, of Freeport, died Friday, January 4, 2013, at Manor Court.
Born July 20, 1927 in Shannon he was the son of Daniel and Vernie (Janssen) Buss. He married Alberta DeGan October 26, 1947. She died August 12, 2009.
He was a Machinist working for Fair Banks Morse and then Barber Coleman until his retirement.
Kenneth was a World War II Army veteran. He was a member of the V.F.W. and the Fraternal Order of Eagles.
Surviving are two daughters, Pam Benecke of The Villages, Florida and Sandy (Ken) Foltz of Lena; two sisters, Florence (Marvin) Ruthe and Betty Heilman both of Freeport; five grandchildren, Dana (Brian) Keim, Phil (Lina) Foltz, Tiffany (Kyle) DeSpain, Matt (Lesley) Benecke, and Shanna Benecke; six great grandchildren; and one sister in-law, Eileen Buss of Freeport.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; three sisters; and three brothers.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday January 11, 2013 at Walker Mortuary. Burial will be in the Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
