Freeport-Kenneth Melvin Fosler, 77, of Freeport, died Sunday, August 15, 2004, at FHN Memorial Hospital. Born July 18, 1927 in Lena he was the son of Charles and Blanche (Huber) Fosler. He married Shirley M. Herold April 30, 1949 in Rockford and she died March 20, 1991 in Freeport. Since 1953 owned and operated South Side Window Cleaning in Freeport. He also worked at W.T. Rawleigh Company, Fair Banks Morse. He was a veteran of World War II. Surviving are his sons, Ken Fosler, Jim (Judy) Fosler, Don (Kayla) Fosler and all of Freeport; one daughter, Debbie (David) Kohlbauer of Freeport; three brothers, William (Ruth) Fosler, Dick (Lois) Fosler, Joe (Ruth) Fosler all of Freeport; one sister, Lola Mae Janicke of Rockford; eight grandchildren; six great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; one son Tom, one brother and one sister. Funeral service will be Wednesday 11:00 am at Walker Mortuary with Reverend Rex Rains Associate Pastor of Crossroads Community Church officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday from 4-7 pm. at the Mortuary. Burial will be in the Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. A memorial has been established in his name for St. Judes Childrens Hospital.
