Kenneth George Schauer, 75, of Davis, Illinois died Sunday, April 3rd, 2016 at his home.
Born August 13th, 1940 in Chicago, Illinois, he was the son of Walter George and Anna Lisa (Johnson) Schauer. He married Donna J. Kuechenmeister October 18th, 1987.
He served with the U.S. Navy Airborne for two years.
Kenneth worked for Kehe Trucking and then 28 years for Roadway Express.
He was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Pecatonica where he served as an Elder. He also was the Sunday School Superintendent with St. Matthew's Lutheran Church in Lake Zurich, IL.
He enjoyed cars and all kinds of motorsports.
He was an avid Bears and Cub fan.
Surviving are his wife, Donna of Davis; his children, Kristin Schauer and Kurtis (Jaimi) Schauer both of Davis; Michael D. Schauer of Hainesville, and Annmarie Schauer of Lake Zurich; his grandchildren, Bennett, Brittany, and Shane Schauer; two brothers, Robert (Diane) Schauer of Crystal Lake and Leonard (Gail) Schauer of Rolling Meadows.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Saturday, April 9th, 2016 at St. John's Lutheran Church in Pecatonica.
Visitation will be 11:30 a.m. until time of service Saturday at St. John's Lutheran Church.
A memorial has been established for National Parkinson Foundation.
