Kenneth Vonderohe, age 82 of Durand, IL, passed away at home on Thursday, June 15, 2023. He was born December 31, 1940 in Chicago, IL; the son of the late George and Helen (Fortin) Vonderohe. He graduated from Waller High School in Chicago. Kenneth married Bonnie Billings on January 26, 1963 in Chicago.

He was a Letter Carried for the United States Post Office and worked for John V. May Funeral Home of Chicago for 30 years. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Durand, IL where he used his talented computer design skills to create multiple advertisements and flyers for the church. Kenneth enjoyed fishing and was an avid train enthusiast.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Bonnie Vonderohe of Durand; sons, Timothy Vonderohe of Chicago and Christopher (Christin) Vonderohe of Rolling Meadows; daughter, Laura (Cary) Rosen of Palm Beach, FL; grandchild, Kenny Vonderohe; great grandchildren, Ryan & Ryder; and sister, Nancy Forslin of Missouri. He was preceded in death by his parents; granddaughter, Allesa; and sister, Mary Lou (Gene) Yarger

Cremation rites have been accorded. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 12, 2023 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Durand, IL. Interment will take place at St. Mary's Cemetery in Durand. A memorial fund has been established in his name. The Daughenbaugh Funeral Home of Dakota, IL is assisting his family.
