Obituary
Freeport-Kenneth J. Williams, 92, of Freeport, died Sunday August 31, 2003 in his home after a long illness.
For many years he worked as a butcher at the Phil Mallory meat market known as Chicago Market. He later retired from School District #145 after 18 years of service.
Born June 5, 1911 in Freeport he was the son of Arthur and Elizabeth (Blumenstiel) Williams. He was married to Eva Cline, March 9, 1940.
Surviving are his widow of Freeport; one son, Dennis (Terri) Williams of Falls Church, Virginia; two grandsons, Chris Williams of Arlington, Virginia and Jeff Williams of Fair Fax, Virginia; one sister, Ruth Evers of Freeport.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters; two brothers.
Cremation rites have been accorded.
Memorial services will be September 13, 2003 11 a.m. at Bethany United Church of Christ with Reverend Ward Malloy officiating.
Memorials have been established for Bethany United Church of Christ and Freeport Memorial Hospice.
