Freeport-Lance Nicholas Hooper, 43, of Freeport, died Friday, January 12, 2007, at his home.
Born June 28, 1963 in Freeport he was the son of Robert L. and Sheila (Bach) Hooper.
A graduate of Aquin High School he attended Rockford College and Highland Community College. He served in the National Guard.
Lance was a lifelong Packer fan who enjoyed reading, his cats, and most of all spending time with his daughter, Katie.
Surviving are his mother, Sheila Hooper of Freeport; his father, Robert L. Hooper of Machesney Park; his much loved daughter, Katie Lynn Hooper of Roscoe; one brother, Mark (Melody Farringer) Hooper of Freeport; three sisters, Victoria (John Webb) Hooper of Freeport, Patricia (Cyril) Friend of Riverside and Lisa (Troy) Yaun of Rockton; one aunt, Patricia Steele of Freeport; three uncles, Michael (Kay) Bach, Nicholas Bach and Theodore Bach all of Freeport; his cousins, nephews, and nieces.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents; and one cousin, Daniel J. Steele.
Funeral service will be Thursday 10:30 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Burial will be in the St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
Visitation will be Wednesday 4 to 7 p.m. at Walker Mortuary where at 7 p.m. there will be a prayer service.
In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established for the Human Services Fund.
