Lawrence "Larry" E. Wallock, 92, of Dakota died Tuesday April 17, 2012 at the Lena Living Center in Lena. Born April 9, 1920 in Depue, IL, he was the son of Joseph and Verda (Allen) Wallock. On October 30, 1971 he and Irma (Wachlin) Woodley were united in marriage in Dakota. Larry enjoyed doing all types of crafts. He was a member of the United States Navy serving on the USS ADAIR in the South Pacific. Surviving are his wife Irma of Dakota, three daughters Mary Louise (Harold) Schuur of Freeport, Paula (Mike) Schninerle of Freeport, Sally (Keith) Chapman of German Valley; four sons Joe Wallock of Freeport, Wayne (Donna) Woodley of Freeport, Gary Woodley of Dakota, Darrell (Rhona) Woodley of Lena; 14 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. Preceding him in death were his parents, one brother and 2 sisters.
