LaRue Lohmeier, 73, of Rock City died Saturday August 22, 2009 at FHN Memorial Hospital. Born March 6, 1936 at Wichita County, TX she was the daughter of William Egbert and Maud Ethel (Spruiell) Dezell. She and Chester G. Lohmeier were married September 14, 1957 in Lawton, OK. He preceded her in death on January 19, 1996. She worked for the Stephenson County Farm Bureau for five years and farmed with her husband in the Davis area until he changed careers. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and visiting her family in Kansas and Oklahoma. She also spent many enjoyable hours on the computer conversing with friends and family and playing games. LaRue was also a very accomplished seamstress and loved knitting and needlework. She is survived by two daughters Kim (Ray) Satness Jr. of Durand, Kelli (Kurt) Bowers of Dakota; four grandchildren Robby Satness of Madison, WI, Molly Satness of Durand, Tony Bowers of Platteville, WI, Abby Bowers of Dakota; sister Maureta Meyer of Rock, KS; brother Garland Dezell of Lawton, OK; many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, son Jeffrey Scott, two sisters Marcell Joyce Dezell and Donna Lou Meinert. Private graveside service for family and close friends will be 11:00 am Friday at St Paul Cemetery of Rural Davis. There will be no visitation. A memorial fund has been established in her name.
