LaVonne M. Hayenga , age 92 of Freeport, IL, passed away Thursday, April 5, 2018 at the Presence St. Joseph Center in Freeport. She was born June 5, 1925; the daughter of the late Nelson and Anna (Nesemeier) Meier. She married Henry "Hank" Hayenga on October 9, 1943; he passed away in 1977.

LaVonne retired from General Casualty Insurance of Freeport. She loved bowling and bowled on several leagues and in many tournaments. She also enjoyed working with her hands and made plastic canvas decorations.

She is survived by relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Hank. A special thank you to her friends and caregivers over the years, Alice Pierce and Terry & Debbie Millam.

Cremation rites have been accorded. A private interment will take place at Oakland Cemetery.
