Freeport- Leo D. Getzendaner, 43, of Freeport died Monday February 27, 2006 at his home. Born March 6, 1962 in Sterling he was the son of Charles and Bernadine Getzendaner. He and Susan Kolthoff were married October 15, 1988 in Polo. Mr. Getzendaner was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in Freeport, and was a truck driver for Vitner's.
He is survived by his wife Susan of Freeport; One daughter Melissa Getzendaner of Freeport; Mother Bernadine of Mt. Morris; one sister Karen Getzendaner of Linden Wood; one brother David Gezendaner of Mt. Morris; Mother in law Selma Kolthoff of Freeport.
Preceding him in death were his grandparents and Father.
Visitation will be 4-7 pm Thursday at Walker Mortuary.
Funeral service will be 1:00 pm Friday at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church with Msgr. William P. McDonnell officiating.
Burial will be in the Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Freeport.
A memorial fund has been established in his name.
