Obituary
Pearl City-Leo R. "Gus" Kloepping, 66, of Pearl City, died Wednesday, December 24, 2003, at FHN Memorial Hospital.
Born July 31, 1937 in Freeport he was the son of Raymond and Eunice (Phillips) Kloepping. He married Peggy Rinard July 8, 1955.
He was a lifetime Florence Township farmer.
A family man he especially enjoyed teasing his grandchildren.
Surviving is his wife, Peggy; two sons, Raymond L. (Brigitte) Kloepping and Randall L. (Billie) Kloepping all of Pearl City; three daughters, Julie (Duane) Smeathers and Janet (Glenn) Ferge both of Rockford, Shelly (Tom) Mulder of Rock city; two sisters, Aletha (Robert) Adams of California and Elvida (Bill) Quitno of Freeport; special niece, Susan Adams of California; ten grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Susan Kloepping; one granddaughter, Sara Mulder.
Funeral service will be Monday 11 a.m. at Walker Mortuary with Reverend Don Jamerson of First Free Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in the Oakland Cemetery & Mausoleum.
Friends may call Sunday 4 to 7 p.m. at Walker Mortuary.
