Lester Fouke, 85, of Freeport, died Wednesday, December 26, 2012, at Manor Court.
Born February 28, 1927 in West Point Township he was the son of Lester and Rose (Wohlford) Fouke. He married Clarice Schweitzer August 25, 1951.
He was a US Navy veteran
Lester worked for Illinois Central Railroad from 1946 to 1970.
He was a Telegrapher at West JCT Freeport then a Train Dispatcher in the Chicago office. After 1970 he was a Building Contractor.
Lester was a member of Bethany United Church of Christ.
Surviving is his wife, Clarice of Freeport; his daughter, Carol (Robert) Fouke-Mpoyo; his sister, Dorothy Forholt of Florida; two nephews, Rick and Jim Forholt both of Florida; and numerous cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and stepfather, Lloyd Penticoff.
There will be a committal service 10 a.m. Monday December 31, 2012 at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
Memorial services will be 11 a.m. Monday December 31, 2012 at Bethany United Church of Christ.
