Lester W. Pfile was born February 23, 1943 to Orvis and Freda (Detwiler) Pfile, and went to be with the Lord on September 7, 2011while surrounded by his family. He married Paulette (Harnish) on November 13, 1965. He graduated from Dakota High School in 1961 and attended Auto School in Omaha, NE. He was a member of Freeport Mennonite Church. Lester was a brick mason for over 25 years. He enjoyed volunteering for the Freeport Habitat for Humanity and serving on the board of directors. He also enjoyed volunteering at the Stephenson Antique Engine Club. His hobbies included boating, fishing, hunting, and woodworking. He loved spending time with his grandchildren.
Surviving are his wife Paulette of Freeport, four children Damon (Rebecca) Pfile of Endeavor, WI, Jammie Pfile (Rori Schrader) of Freeport, Leslie (Jim) Stimpert of Cedarville, Christine (Michael) Blair of Stockton; grandchildren Colten, Sean, Sara, Ella, Haddie and Uriah Pfile, Amanda and Alax Pfile, Kortni Wong, Cherice, Emmett and Jarid Stimpert, David, Christopher and Casi Pfile, Morgan Blair; great granddaughters RaeAnna and Zoey; great grandson due in November; two brothers Elton Pfile and Everett (Penny) Pfile; sister Vera (Bill) Whitten; sister-in-law Loretta Pfile; and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death were his parents, brother Melvin Pfile and sister-in-law Anita Pfile.
