Lillie P. Miller, age 78 of Freeport, IL, passed away on Monday, March 24, 2025 at FHN Memorial Hospital. She was born October 24, 1946, in San Antonio, TX; the daughter of the late Juan and Carmen (Piaz) Gonzales. Lille was a graduate of Brackenridge High School in San Antonio. Lillie married James Miller on August 17, 1968; he passed on September 30, 2020.

While living in Texas, Lillie worked as a nurse's aide. After moving to Freeport she raised her family, worked at Thermos, and retired from MetLife. She was also very active in her church, the Breakthrough Church of Freeport (formerly known as the Bridge Church), where she served in numerous ministries. She lived to spread the Word of God through helping anyone in need; leading prayer groups, volunteering in food pantries, and feeding the homeless to name a few. She enjoyed gardening and crocheting. She also loved spending time with her grandkids and great grandkids.

Lillie is survived by her daughter, Michelle (Timothy) Jacobs of Rockford; son, Christopher (Jody) Miller; grandchildren, Christina Wirsing, Brittany Wirsing, Devin Marcum, Skye Franklin, Brigitte (Brandon Mooney) Jacobs, Olivia Marcum, Kaylena Miller, Christopher Miller, Jr., Jamari Magee, Jaron Magee, and Alexia Snyder; great grandchildren, Arianna Wirsing and Brielle Wirsing; great great grandchild, Braylon Wirsing,; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, James; brothers, Willie Gonzales and Jesse Gonzales; and sister, Ezekiel Aranda.

Cremation rites have been accorded. A memorial service will be held at the Breakthrough Church on April 12, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. There will be a visitation before the service beginning at 10:00 a.m. A memorial fund has been established for the Breakthrough Church.
