Lois M. Aurand, 91, of Freeport, died Tuesday, December 22, 2015, at Manor Court.
Born May 16, 1924 in Freeport she was the daughter of Roy and Grace (Shockey) Rumelhagen. She married LaVearle Aurand October 17, 1945 and he died August 21, 1979.
Lois worked for the Cregan Insurance agency in Freeport. She was a member of St. John United Church of Christ and a former member of Ladies of the Elks.
Surviving are her children, Nancy (Michael) Lester of Dakota and Lee (Irene) Aurand of Alachua, Florida; 2 grandsons, Ryan Lester of Freeport and Joshua (Tif) Aurand of Machesney Park; 3 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and 1 sister, Thelma Neberman.
Cremation rites have been accorded.
Her cremated remains will be buried in the Oakland Cemetery.
Private family services will be held.
A memorial has been established for FHN Hospice.
