Freeport-Lois B. DeFrane, 81, of Freeport, died Sunday, May 13, 2007, at FHN Memorial Hospital.
Born September 17, 1925 in Freeport she was the daughter of Albert J. and Mildred Mae (Peters) Zimmerman. She married Ralph DeFrane and he preceded her in death in 1962.
Lois was a member Faith United Methodist Church.
She worked at Crum & Foster for 25 years.
Surviving are one daughter, Cheri (Jim) Johnson of Freeport; one son, Roger (Barbara) DeFrane of Phoenix, Arizona; three grandchildren, Michele (Jim) Kwakenat of Fort Dodge, Iowa, Wendy (Danie) Hille of Freeport, and Todd (Suzanne)DeFrane of Phoenix, Arizona; seven great grandchildren, Chaz Hille, Miranda Hille, Andrew Kwakenat, Megan DeFrane, Joseph Hille, Nathan Kwakenat, and Tatum DeFrane.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
Funeral service will be Thursday 1:30 p.m. at Walker Mortuary with Reverend Douglas Q. Bowden of Faith United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in the Grandview Cemetery.
Visitation will be Wednesday 4 to 7 p.m. at Walker Mortuary.
