Lola Dorothy Bloyer, 103, of Freeport, died Thursday, March 12, 2009 at Stephenson Nursing Center.
Born December 07, 1905 in Kent she was the daughter of William and Luella (Werkheiser) Polhill. She married Charles Bloyer August 5, 1924 and he died May 26, 1987.
She graduated from Lena High School in 1923.
Lola was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church since 1933.
She worked at Crum & Forster for 21 years and the Micro Switch until her retirement in 1970.
Surviving are her grandchildren; Mark (Berniece) Bloyer and Holly (Michael) Edler both of Freeport; Timothy Bloyer of Rushville; Billie (Michael) Lehman of Shepard, Montana; Christie (Matt Brinkmeier) Harnish of Freeport; Charles (Pamela) Bloyer of Show Low, Arizona; 14 great grandchildren; 9 great great grandchildren; her daughter in-law, Joyce A. Bloyer of Freeport; her nephews; nieces; and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; 1 son, Charles; 2 brothers; and 4 sisters.
Cremation rites have been accorded.
Memorial service will be Tuesday 10:30 a.m. at Walker Mortuary with Reverend Julie Blunt of Trinity United Methodist Church officiating. Interment will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
