Obituary
Loren W. Boone, age 73 of Freeport, IL, passed away Friday, May 25, 2018 at Manor Court in Freeport. He was born on January 25, 1945 in Sheldon, IA; the son of the late Edward and Esther (Menning) Boone. He married Carol Sue Morey on February 10, 1973. Loren worked at MetLife for many years, retiring in 2009. He was also an avid Iowa Hawkeyes fan.
He is survived by his wife, Carol Sue "Susie" Boone of Freeport; daughter, Angela Boone of Naperville; son, Alex (Ashley) Boone of Lew Lenox, IL; grandson, George Boone; sisters, Sharon (Rich) Molettiere of Omaha, NE and Glenda (Don) VanOtterloo of Sioux City, IA; and brothers, Arlan (Evelyn) Boone of Sheldon, IA and Verlyn (Sue) Boone of Sioux City, IA. He was preceded in death by his parents.
The funeral service will be held Tuesday, May 29 th at 11:00 a.m. at Walker Mortuary in Freeport with a visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. Interment will take place at Oakland Cemetery in Freeport. A memorial fund has been established in his name.Services
