Loretta L. Hufford, age 87 of Freeport, IL, passed away Monday, June 11, 2018 at FHN Memorial Hospital in Freeport. She was born on January 28, 1931 in Chicago, IL; the daughter of the late Walter and Josephine (Oakland) Larsen. She attended Dakota Schools through the 8 ^th grade. She married Albert E. Hufford on May 3, 1947.

Loretta waitressed for the Chuck Wagon, Rocky's Restaurant and the Holiday Inn in Freeport. She also worked as a CNA at FHN Memorial Hospital for several years. She enjoyed mowing her lawn and loved spending time with her dogs and family, especially her grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband, Albert E. Hufford of Freeport; daughters, Jody (Ronald) Spelman and Laura (Craig) Horstmeier both of Davis, IL; grandchildren, Kimberly (Michael) Blair, Jami Spelman, Angela (Bill) Doane and Stacey Horstmeier; and great grandchildren, Makenna & Mason Blair and Willow & Xan Doane. She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Bonnie; 2 granddaughters; 1 brother; and 1 sister.
