Freeport-Lorraine B. Gray, 78, of Freeport, went to be with the Lord, Thursday, January 18, 2007, at FHN Memorial Hospital.
Born February 6, 1928 in Pearl City she was the daughter of Orville and Grace (Earnest) Dole. She married David R. Gray September 10, 1949 in Orangeville.
She worked at Micro Switch for 29 years, was a member of the Quarter Century Club, and made many friends while driving the company shuttle bus.
Lorraine loved to dance, play cards, enjoyed weekends in Wisconsin, and spending time with her family.
Surviving is her husband, David R. of Freeport; two sons, David A. Gray of Pecatonica and Kenneth Gray of Orangevale, CA; three daughters, Jodene and son in-law Darrell Lacher of Freeport, Lana Schrader of Dakota, and Sandra Gray of Freeport; one brother, Robert (Francis) Dole of Pearl City; one sister, Joan (David) Becke of Lake Summerset; a sister-in-law, Marian Derwent 7 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Gerald Dole, one sister, Charlene Werkheiser; her son in-law, Larry Schrader; her daughter in-law, Cheryl Gray and grandson, Wayne Gray.
Visitation will be Saturday 2 to 4 p.m. at Walker Mortuary.
Following the visitation cremation rites will be accorded.
Private family service will be held and interment of her cremated remains will be in the Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
A memorial has been established for the Autism Association.
