Louie H. Banderet, 90, of Freeport, died Sunday, January 10, 2016 at his home.
Born August 23, 1925 in Strawville he was the son of Louis and Louise (Crochet) Banderet. He married Ruth Moore in 1948 and she died in 2013.
Surviving are his children, Elaine (David Hullinger) of Washington, Betsey (Gene) Lashley of Freeport and Duane (Joan) Banderet of Dakota; his grandchildren, Lisa (Dr. Chris) Rivera) of Breese, Jennifer (Tom) Lopez of Libertyville, Erica (fiancée Robert Baker) Bennehoff of Windsor Mill, Maryland, April Butt of Freeport, Anna and Dustin Banderet of Dakota; 5 great grandchildren, Renee, Alex, and Rachel Rivera of Breeze, Ben and Alaina Lopez of Libertyville.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; 5 brothers, 2 sister-in-laws.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, January 16, 2016 at First Lutheran Church. Burial will be in the Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, January 15, 2016 at Walker Mortuary.
A memorial has been established for Stephenson County Home Extension for 4- H.
