Louis C. Veach, 70, of Freeport, died Tuesday, April 5, 2011 at his home.
Born March 28, 1941 in Rock Grove he was the son of John and Irene (Flynn) Veach.
On April 27, 1963 he married Judith M. Frey in Freeport and she died March 2, 2005.
He worked 29 ½ years for and retired from Kelly Springfield Tire Company.
Louis was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose and the Fraternal Order of Eagles.
Surviving are 2 sons, Mark (Wendy) Veach and Scott Veach both of Freeport, 2 daughters, Lori Veach of Stockton and Valerie (Michael) Kubatzke of Freeport, 3 Grandchildren; 2 step-grandchildren; 2 sisters, Helen Bartram of Long Island, New York, and Virginia (Robert) Keister of Freeport; 1 brother, Albert (Grace) Veach of Baltimore, Maryland; several nieces and nephews, his mother in-law, Marie Frey of Freeport;
2 sister in-laws, Darlene (Kenneth) Baldauf of Pearl City and Donna (Robert) Spangler of Freeport; special friend, Melody Anderson; and 9 half-brothers and sisters.
He was preceded in death by his wife; parents; and sister in-law, Janis Tischer.
Funeral services and burial will be held Saturday, April 9, 2011 at 10 a.m. in the Chapel of Peace in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens with the Reverend John Hollis officiating. Visitation will be Friday 4 to 7 p.m. at Walker Mortuary where at 7 p.m. there will be a memorial service conducted by the Loyal Order of Moose.
A memorial has been established in his name.
