Lucille Joane Meier, 78 of Freeport died Wednesday, August 28, 2013 at her daughter's home in Monroe, WI after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born November 26, 1934 in Freeport she was the daughter of Earl and Helen (Jacobs) Heidenreich.
On November 22, 1953 she and Raymond Meier were united in marriage at Embury United Methodist Church Freeport. She was a member of Embury United Methodist Church for 60 years.
Lucille enjoyed gardening, working jigsaw puzzles and spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her two children Rhonda (Tony) Stagliano of Monroe WI, Steven (Norma) Meier of Freeport; four grandchildren Cody and Dalton Meier both of Freeport, Abbie Stagliano of Monroe, WI, Jessy Stagliano of Whitewater, WI; three brothers Gene (Carol), Harry (Peggy) and Robert Heidenreich; one sister Marian (Gary) Webb; many nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter-in-law Jerrie and granddaughter Makayla. Visitation will be Wednesday from 9 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m. at Embury United Methodist Church in Freeport.
Burial will be at the Oakland Cemetery and Mausoleum in Freeport.
A memorial has been established in her name.
