Lucille R. Miller , age 92 of Freeport, IL, passed away Tuesday, March 13, 2018 at Presence St. Joseph Center in Freeport. She was born September 10, 1925; the daughter of the late Merle and Henrietta (Sager) Winters. She attended Lena High School. Lucille married Alfred Miller on September 25, 1943; he passed on August 3, 2000.

She had worked for Burgess Battery, Johnny on the Sport Cleaners, and the Journal Standard. She was a member of First Free Methodist Church of Freeport. She enjoyed going on car trips. Together, Lucille and Alfred enjoyed trips out west to the rodeo in Wyoming and to the mountains in Colorado.

She is survived by her children, Bruce (Beverly) Miller of Davis, IL, Ruth (Lee) Jones of Martin, TN, David (Connie) Miller of Turlock, CA, and Rick Miller of Freeport; 1 daughter-in-law, Lynn Miller of  Edmond, OK; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren; and sister, June Bentley of Lamar, CO. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Alfred; son, Danny Miller; 1 infant granddaughter, Stacey Miller; brothers, Robert Winters and Harold Winters; and sisters, Betty Miller and Donna Pickard.
