Lurline R. André, 93, of Freeport ascended to heaven Monday, 16 August 2004, at the Stephenson Nursing Center. She was born February 11, 1911 in Janesville, Wisconsin. She was the daughter of Charles & Ellen Bernard, who farmed in Broadhead, Wisconsin. She was happily married to Elmer W. André of Twin Grove, Wisconsin from October 8, 1932 until his ascension on 23 September 1966.
She graduated from Broadhead High School, Broadhead, Wisconsin and received a Teaching Certificate from Monroe Teachers College, Monroe, Wisconsin.
She had a daycare in her home for many years and was Teacher/Supervisor of pre-school and kindergarten at Berean Baptist Academy until she retired in 1981. She loved teaching small children. She was an active member of Freeport Baptist Church and enjoyed serving the Lord. She was in charge of Children's Church for many years. She served on the Board of Education for Freeport Baptist Academy.
She is survived by a daughter Ardis D. (Robert) Geiseman and four Grandchildren, Matthew Geiseman, Michelle (Richard) Guzzardo, Mike (Kelly) Geiseman, of Freeport & Mark (Angie) Geiseman, six Great Grandchildren, five favorite nieces & nephews, and Mrs. Linda (Ray) Dyke who was embraced as a daughter.
She was preceded in death by her wonderful parents; loving husband Elmer; son, Arlyn; brother, Charles Bernard and sister, Carrie (Bernard) Winchester.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM Friday, August 20th at Freeport Baptist Church, 2810 W. Pearl City Road with Pastor Kurt Strong officiating. Friends may call from 9:15 AM until the time of the service. Lunch will be served directly after the funeral, at the church. Burial will be at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens following the lunch.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in her memory for the benefit of Freeport Baptist Academy and Stephenson Nursing Center.
