Mabel Ann Doll, age 92 of Freeport, IL, passed away on Monday, May 27, 2024 at FHN Memorial Hospital. She was born on January 4, 1932 in Freeport; the daughter of the late Fred and Ethel (Kurtz) Panska. She was a 1950 graduate of Dakota High School in Dakota, IL. Mabel married Ben Doll on October 18, 1969; he passed on January 17, 1992.

She worked as a waitress for 25 years at Sip & Bite and the Landmark Restaurant in Freeport. She retired in 1975. Mabel was a member of Van Brocklin United Methodist Church of rural Freeport; Friends Forever Humane Society; and the Stephenson County Antique Engine Club. Her pastimes included working in her yard, gardening and tending to her flowers. She also enjoyed working on plastic canvas projects and helping at her church functions when able.

She is survived by loving cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents; parents; husband, Ben; cousins, Margaret Lewis, Eugene & Harold Gassman and their spouses; and her best pals & buddy's, her dogs, Jamie & Rex.

Services will be held Friday, May 31, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Peace at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Freeport, IL. There will be a visitation before the service beginning at 9:00 a.m. A memorial fund has been established in her name. Condolences may be shared with her family at www.walkermortuary.com.
