Marcia J. Lentz, age 71 of Davis, IL, passed away on Friday, September 16, 2022 at UW Hospital in Madison, WI. She was born October 23, 1950; the daughter of the late Floyd and Grace (Viel) Nyman. She married Keith Lentz on February 14, 1979.

Marcia was a graduate of Dakota High School and Highland Community College. She went on to receive her Bachelor's Degree from Illinois State. Prior to her marriage she worked at Burgess Battery and MicroSwitch both of Freeport. After marrying Keith, they farmed together until his passing in December of 1997.  She then continued to farm and work as a cook at Medina Nursing Home in Durand. She was a member of Faith Community Church in Davis where she helped in the nursery and baked cookies for the Rockford Rescue Mission. Marcia was all about her grandkids. She was caring and helpful and loved teaching her grandkids about knitting, sewing, and baking.

Marcia is survived by her sons, Joel and Matthew Lentz both of Davis; daughter, Melissa (Michael) Oller of Davis; grandchildren, McKayla, Maverick, & Maddox Oller; sister, Shirley (Scott) Rogers of Eau Claire, WI; brother, Doug Nyman of Davis; and several cousins, nieces, and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Keith; brother, Jeff; and sister, Karen Beckmeier.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 21, 2022 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Daughenbaugh Funeral Home in Dakota, IL. The funeral service will be Thursday, September 22, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. at Faith Community Church in Davis, IL. Interment will take place at the Davis Cemetery.
