Margaret E. Lybarger, 78, of Freeport died Tuesday, Aug.17, 2004, at Stephenson Nursing Center.
Born May 22, 1926, in Chicago, she was the daughter of Aristodemo and Magalena (Rossi) Sandie.
Margaret and George E. Lybarger, Sr. were married February 21, 1948, in Detroit, Michigan.
Margaret had previously worked at Newell, Micro Switch and the Smith Building, as the elevator operator.
Surviving are her husband, George, sons, George Jr.(Carol) Lybarger (Davis), Robert Lybarger (Ridott), daughter, Mary (Allen) Fink (Freeport), grand children, Michelle (Floyd) Porche, Michael (Rosalie) Fink, Dawn Lybarger, Derrick Lybarger and two great grandsons and great granddaughter (Katelyn Porche).
Preceded in death by her parents, five brothers, one sister and a granddaughter (Deanna Gates).
Margaret was an avid admirer of The Young and the Restless, rose gardening and bird watching.
Funeral service will be Thursday 1 p.m. at Walker Mortuary with Reverend John Cahill of St. Joseph Catholic Church officiating.
Friends may call Thursday 12 noon until time of service
Burial will be in the Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
A memorial has been established in her name.
