Margaret A. McCaffrey, 102, of Freeport, died Wednesday, June 1, 2011, at Stephenson Nursing Center.
Born January 21, 1909 in Freeport she was the daughter of George and Augusta (Jahnke) Bruins. She married Ralph L. McCaffrey June 3, 1933 and he died February 13, 1969.
Margaret worked at Micro Switch for 27 years retiring in 1974.
She was a member of Zion Church in Freeport.
Surviving are her daughter, Phyllis (Richard) Prather of Phoenix, Arizona; grandson, Lawrence Prather of Phoenix, Arizona; niece, Chloe Alich of Freeport; great niece, Tania Alich of Freeport; and her great nephew, Marty Alich of Forreston.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; 4 sisters.
Funeral services will be Monday, 11 a.m. June 6, 2011 at Walker Mortuary.
Visitation will be Monday 9 a.m. until time of service at the Walker Mortuary.
In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established for Zion Church.
